Sports, Chess, Lego & Robotics
Children attend swimming classes every week or every fortnight as part of regular school. There are regular sports classes in schools every week. School children are taken skiing from the public schools once a year.

The UBS Kids Cup is the largest youth project in Swiss athletics. It is aimed at children and young people aged 7 to 15.

Jugendschach Schweiz acts as the central portal for youth-chess activities in Switzerland. It publishes information, news, schedules (Terminplan) and details about youth-chess tournaments and events under the umbrella of the Schweizerischer Schachbund (SSB). The calendar includes all major youth tournaments: individual championships (U10–U16), youth team championships, rapid championships (including U8, U10, U20, girls’ rapid), and other events for kids and teenagers.

IdéeSport uses sport and movement to promote health, social inclusion and opportunity for children, youth and families across Switzerland
Ideesports.ch offers space for exercise and encounters in the winter months. It opens sports halls across Switzerland every week for young people, children and parents/carers. Participation in the events is free and non-binding. Young coaches and young adults organize the events, look after the participants, design the activities and ensure that things run smoothly.

The Young Engineers LEGO Program runs at different locations in the city, after school hours and encourages young engineers to build different Lego models.

Adventures in Robotics introduces children to design, programming and robotics in a fun way.
The Youth Intelligence Agency (formerly Codillion) have classes in programming & robotics, workshops and also serve as a Birthday Party venue. In Zurich, they are located in Wollishofen.
