Festival of Dance & Music, Baden, 22, 23.Mar.2025

The Nateschwara Academy run by Vijaya Rao is celebrating 45 Years of Classical Indian Dance and Music in Switzerland.

The Nateschwara Academy run by Vijaya Rao opened its doors in 1980 and has since etablished itself as a temple of traditional Bharata Natyam (Cheyyur Bani) and an enthusiastic promoter of classical Indian Art & Artistes in their purest forms. To commemorate 45 years of the Academy, a Nine-month Indian dance and music festival with various events and numerous dance and music artists is being initiated by Vijaya Rao, founder and director of the Nateschwara Dance & Music Academy in Baden, Switzerland.

The first event in this series is :

NAVARATNA where 9 Dancers present 9 Kautuams on the 9 Manifestations of Shiva (Navarupa)

with a Live musical ensemble of N: Shivaprasad (vocals), Jeysri Balaji on the Violin, Mridangam – Yashwant Hampiholi on the Mridangam.

Call & Invitation to all Indian Dancers and Indian Musicians: 45 Years of Classical Indian Dance and Music in Switzerland celebrations: Vijaya Rao invites all artists of the various Indian dance and music arts to participate and to perform in the beautiful atmosphere of the Nateschwara Theatre in Baden. The spring performance series will start on 15/16.Mar & 22/23.Mar 2025 and run until the following June. A continuation is planned for autumn 2025.
