Hindu Scripture Classes
Hindu Scripture classes for Children
Hindu Scripture classes encompass Slokas, Bhajans, Indian Stories, Yoga, Moral values etc.
Slokas are Sanskrit chants and prayers offered to Hindu Gods. They are special Sanskrit verses from Indian epics, Vedas, Puranas and Upanishads and usually chanted with a certain tone and intonation.
Bhajans are Hindu prayer songs and sung often as a Group.
Indian stories are derived from the Hindu epics – Ramayana, Mahabharata, Srimad Bhavagatham, Puranas etc and other sources like the Hitopadesha and Jataka tales. The Indian vernacular folklore is rich and finds expression in stories of Birbal, Thenali Raman etc and stories of lofty leaders, freedom fighters and spiritual Saints.
