Sadhguru is a prolific writer and is a very popular speaker and has appeared in many talks throughout the world, from UN to universities and talk shows.

Isha Foundation has an ashram and yoga center near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, India. The Isha Yoga Center is most famous for its holistic and healthy living courses designed by Sadhguru based on Hatha Yoga. The courses – Inner Engineering, Shambavi Mudra, Anga Mardhana, Surya Kriya etc are very popular and millions across the world practise these as a way of life. The Isha Center is also involved in many outreach activities – student’s education in rural India, Rally For Rivers, Save Soil and other environmental and sustainability related programs. The Isha Center worships Lord Shiva in the form of Adi Yogi and has an enormous statue of Adi Yogi in the Isha Center.

Maha Shivaratri is one of the main Hindu festivals in honour of Lord Shiva. The day is marked with fasts and staying awake through the night. Unlike other Hindu festivals that are marked with celebration, Maha Shivaratri is a solemn festival of introspection.

The Maha Shivaratri is an important festival in the Isha Yoga Center calendar and the night is celebrated with many meditations, chants and prayers in the company of Sadhguru. There is a live telecast of the event online on YouTube.
